It's 5 o'clock somewhere.
Here I am living the Canadian Dream, living in a tropical paradise while my country freezes it's ass off.
The weather here is quite agreeable, and this is mid winter in the Dominican! Steps away from the beach,which usually has some sort of party going on. The people here really know how to enjoy life. It's a simple existence, but an instructive one, don't sweat the small stuff. This is the philosophy I have had to internalize for the past 3 months and not to concern myself with things beyond my control.
Will Putin invade Ukraine? Will the belligerent US react galvanically and likely set off World War 3? At that point, should we ever come to it, the Russian military will be able to deploy most of its wonder weapons, most of which are under wraps, such as hypersonic nuclear powered missiles, super cavitation torpedoes, EMPs that can disable any equipment within a radius of 300 km and burn the microcircuits of any equipment and weapons by means of radiation and a laser shot.
But beyond the possibility of harm coming to my kids, what can the average person do about it?
Nothing, really, so have a drink, it's 5 o'clock somewhere.
